Proanthenols and ADHD

Proanthenols and ADHD
There is emerging evidence that Proanthenols may help in the treatment of ADHD.

A US patent was awarded to Dr. Masquelier's important OPC invention for treating Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (U.S. Patent #5719178 Date: Feb. 17, 1998)

The time period before noticable results occur can vary based upon the severity of the ADHD. In one case I am aware of it took about 3 months before a change was noticed. There is growing anecdotal evidence showing that Proanthenols have been effective for many ADHD sufferers.

A clue to how Proanthenols help with treating ADHD may be found in this statement by Richard A. Passwater, Ph.D.,('The Antioxidants', 1985) - 'Chemical hypersensitivities are often caused by free-radical reactions. Some seemingly inert chemicals can be converted into potent free-radical generators by the action of the body enzymes as they metabolize the foreign chemicals in an attempt to remove them from the body.' Perhaps it is the free radical protection of Proanthenols that gets results for many sufferers.
